Plyboo Blog

As bamboo and palm are both indigenous to warm locales throughout the world, both materials are highly adaptable to changes in temperature, significant warmth and varying levels of humidity. That’s why our warranties apply – for both Plyboo and Durapalm – when used in conjunction with Aptos, California-based Warmboard radiant heat systems, a very energy-efficient way to heat a home or office.

While we were debuting Plyboo Ceilings at Dwell-on-Design, so was Boswell Construction, of Encino, California, who used the system in their own booth!

Keira Payne, Business Development Director for Boswell, said: “The ceiling detail came out very nicely and everyone loved the material. It was also great to meet the Plyboo team members (at DoD).”

Boswell employed our Linear Line Plyboo Ceiling in Greige—in a very interesting, cut pattern (see images)—as a ceiling throughout the company’s booth at DoD. Overall, a very creative installation!

The beauty of Plyboo is now available for ceilings, it was announced today by Plyboo maker Smith & Fong Company. Visually stunning carved and textured Plyboo styles, including the Reveal Collection, Linear Collection, Sound Collection, and the new Linear Sound collection, create attractive, intriguing ceilings panels with visual motion and complexity, acoustic performance, and excellent sustainable credentials.

Plyboo Stiletto flooring chosen for use in GMC's booth at the big Chicago Auto Show, February 13-21 at McCormick Place. It was a logical choice: the properties of the Stiletto® flooring—both hardness and modern aesthetic—make quite a statement in the 20,000 sq-ft exhibit, which features new GMC offerings like the 2017 GMC Acadia, a beautiful and efficient midsize crossover. If you're in Chicago this weekend, be sure to stop by the GMC exhibit during 2016 Chicago Auto Show and check out the hot new GMC cars—and the stylish Stiletto flooring.

Instrumental to the opening of our new Bangalore, India-based operations has been the addition of Ajai Ananth, Smith & Fong’s new executive director for India territory business development.
