Going strong since 1999: Plyboo flooring at Macy's Union Square

This installation wasn't our first commercial installation of Plyboo bamboo flooring (that was 100 square feet of sand-and-finish at Elements on Sacramento Street, also here in San Francisco), but it's one of our most prominent early applications in our hometown of San Francisco.

Macy's Union Square, one of the most heavily walked in the Macy's department store chain and its flagship in SF, installed this Plyboo flooring in 1999, in its home furnishings department, located on the seventh floor. It was originally 20,000 square feet, with intricate inlay patterns. It has remained literally unchanged since then, despite 17 years of foot traffic. The product is our original two-ply, 3" wide in 6-foot planks.
